Holme - The Enchanted Valley

When Paul Wilson, a writer from Make Believe UK Ltd, asked us if we wanted to help him create a graphic novel aimed at the Harry Potter generation we leapt at the chance. As life-long comic book fans (Mainly Doug!) we were hugely excited at the opportunity of bringing Paul's unique vision of Holme, in Huddersfield to life. Holme - the Enchanted Valley is a mysterious blend of fictional characters and real-life places and we used a mix of traditional illustration techniques, local photography and digital art to really do justice to this modern fantasy adventure, that will stay with you for a lifetime.

The book isn't just meant to be an exciting adventure novel and is also part of a social enterprise based in Huddersfield called Enchant The World. Initial reaction to Holme has been incredible, with the book being chosen to feature at the 2010 Holmfirth Arts Festival and is currently being tested as a tool to encourage storytelling for 120,000 Kirklees pupils.
