Escape Studios - Engaging a creative audience

Work on a new website for visual effects (VFX) company – Escape Studios – is underway!

Escape Studios is one of the UK’s premier VFX, animation and games art training and teaching institutions. It has been at the forefront of creative education since 2002, supplying the industry with studio-ready talent.

So far, the website’s design phase has been completed and presented internally at Escape Studios, with glowing feedback.

What’s next for Escape Studios and TBB?

We’re now on with developing and building the website, which has been designed to showcase Escape Studios and all their courses, products and events. The new website will be far more interactive, engaging and appealing for Escape Studios’ creative audience, offering the best possible user experience. This will help to ensure that students of Escape Studios repeatedly visit the website to find insights, courses and useful resources. What’s more, it will provide an easy experience for both a new customer or internal marketing team to quickly and easily update.

The new website will ensure that Escape Studios’ digital presence is more aligned with its academic competitors and industry partners. Using a new CMS will permit greater autonomy for Escape Studios’ inhouse team, ensuring a simplification of the authoring experience, as well as ensuring a more consistent site for the customers. Building a new site from scratch will ensure customer journeys, SEO, user experience and digital accessibility will be considered from the start, rather than being applied retrospectively, as with the existing website.

“The overriding reason we chose to work with TBB was because it’s an agency made up of nice people. We met with a handful of agencies and the majority either trotted out a sales person or tried to blind us with a snazzy presentation. In all the communication we’ve had, TBB has listened, taken on board our requests and carried them out. Whenever we’ve been unsure, the TBB crew has always been willing to offer support or guidance.”

Cameron Richmond, Website manager at Escape Studios

“Escape Studios was looking for a headless CMS that would integrate with Shopify (for sales) and the CRM (for lead generation). Taking these points, and Escape Studios’ rather specific content editing workflow, into consideration, Storyblok was the obvious choice. With The Bigger Boat being experts in headless and one of only a few approved Storyblok partners in the UK, Storyblok put us forward to Escape Studios as the agency that could meet their particular requirements. We’re excited that the project is underway!”
