Happy Birthday TBB!

We turned 8 this month which marks a huge milestone for the business. In true TBB style we celebrated with cakes and a couple of tipples at our local watering hole (The Flower Pot, Mirfield). As it’s our birthday It’s a good opportunity to reflect on our journey so far, as well as where the future is going to take us!

The company was set up by Doug, Lee & Andy in 2010, who leased a small office from Towngate Plc in Brighouse. There was only room 3 people and a filing cabinet, so it wasn’t long before we moved in to a bigger Towngate office. In our first proper office we grew to a 7-man crew working with some great clients like Silvelox & Swimbabes. We also won a project to design a website for an Xbox one game for Microsoft Studios, a major coup for a start-up agency… we even got a letter from our local MP to congratulate us!

In late 2016 after more client wins and an ever-expanding crew we re-located to rural Wheatley Park in Mirfield. It took a while to juggle plenty of design and digital projects with an office fit-out, but we’re pleased to say the office is finished (nearly!). We’ve got the important things sorted like table tennis, darts, electric desks and a new bean to cup coffee machine. The show stopper is definitely our very unique meeting room with a hidden door courtesy of luxury door makers Deuren and a bit of handy work from Digital Director Lee B.

2017 was a really big year for us, our revenue grew by 40% and we had 100% client retention! It was also the year where we made yet more appointments. Alison Lee and Emma Heslop joined us as Senior Account Managers, Nour and Hanif joined our web dev team, and last but not least Ruby Ribbons joined us as junior account manager and queen of social events!

The close of 2017 saw creative director Doug take on the Goldman Sachs 10 Small business course. This course Is designed to provide high-quality support to leaders of high growth small businesses in the UK. The skills & lessons that Doug took away from the course have helped us improve our business already, with plenty of things still to implement.

Looking ahead to 2018, we’ve got some really exciting projects to tell you about and our new website is about to launch, all will be revealed soon. We’ve also recently launched a new service to clients – customer journey mapping. With 2018 set to be the year where CX (customer experience) takes off, we couldn’t have timed it better!

A huge thankyou you to past and current crew members for helping us to get to where we are today. And an even bigger thankyou to our great clients who’ve supported us along the way – some since day one… you know who you are.
