About us
The Bigger Boat is an award-winning integrated agency based in scenic Wheatley Park in Mirfield, close to Huddersfield and Leeds. We’re a friendly crew of designers, developers, digital marketers, PR specialists and content creators. Our expanding client list includes well-known international brands, as well as both national and regional businesses.
The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone with paid media experience who wants to build a broader digital marketing skillset.
You’ll already have a solid foundation in pay-per-click (PPC), particularly Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. Experience with Meta and LinkedIn campaigns would be a bonus.
Paid platforms are becoming more automated, which means the most forward-thinking digital marketers are looking beyond day-to-day campaign tweaks. We’re looking for someone who’s curious, analytical, and keen to understand the full customer journey – from the ad someone clicks to the website experience that turns them into a lead or customer.
You’ll get hands-on experience across the wider digital marketing landscape, including strategy, Google Analytics, search engine optimisation (SEO), conversion rate optimisation (CRO), email marketing, and digital PR.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be:
Creating, managing, and optimising PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising (supported where required by our design and copywriting teams)
Supporting paid social campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn
Reviewing campaign data and turning it into clear, useful insights
Attending client meetings with the team to share performance updates
Carrying out keyword, audience, and competitor research
Reviewing websites and user journeys to suggest conversion improvements
Learning and contributing to wider digital marketing activity
Supporting the wider team on integrated client projects where your skills can add value
Using and testing AI to solve problems, speed up processes and improve work without compromising quality
Key skills and experience:
One to two years’ experience working in PPC, ideally across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising
Some experience with Meta or LinkedIn ad platforms
Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
Excellent attention to detail, taking pride in getting the basics right
Confidence working with data and spotting trends
Clear written and verbal communication skills
A curious, motivated approach and willingness to learn and collaborate with our content, PR, and design teams
Other professional 'plus points':
Experience in any of the following would be useful, but it’s not essential:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Google Tag Manager
Other paid social platforms
Website or landing page analysis
Copywriting skills (though you’ll have support from our in-house writers)
Basic SEO knowledge
CRO or user experience reviews
Email marketing platforms
