Brand, website, and SEO wins for Workspace
Born from a passion for sustainable design, Re:Work was founded in 2007 to improve employment opportunities, divert pre-loved office furniture from landfills, and run a profitable social enterprise. Fast forward to today, the same ethos runs strong through Workspace, which offers several additional creative services spanning in-house office planning to fully bespoke interior design.

The challenge
When the company decided to pivot and take social enterprise Re:Work in a different direction, Workspace needed a way to effortlessly transition from both a brand and technical perspective. And, having worked closely with the team for several years already, The Bigger Boat was the trusted partner of choice. But this project was no small feat.
Following a brand refresh, which involved bringing Re:Work under the Workspace brand, our client needed a central hub to house all of its content and make the user journey as seamless as possible. However, with the Re:Work website boasting a stronger SEO presence, it was essential to redirect this authority in the process. The challenge was, Workspace’s existing website was built in an old version of WordPress, heavily outdated and too costly to upgrade or build from scratch.
As luck would have it, The Bigger Boat was exploring Statamic at the time – a new CMS offering cost-effective and flexible website development, without the complexity or heavy plugin reliance of traditional platforms.

Our solution
Instead of a complete overhaul, the project called for a subtle brand refresh, repositioning Re:Work as the ecommerce storefront while strengthening Workspace’s position as the lead brand. And Statamic offered a streamlined development process to help bring this vision to life. With key features including a flat-file system, Git-native functionality, and minimal plugin needs, the new CMS helped create a custom site that was flexible, high performing, and cost effective – exactly what Workspace needed.
The UX design focused on delivering impact through simplicity, ensuring the site aligned with the brand’s refreshed look while keeping budgets under control. Then, by applying this clean and intuitive styling throughout the build, we created a seamless user experience that didn’t sacrifice quality for budget. Meanwhile, to preserve Re:Work’s site authority, we carefully migrated blog content to the new Workspace website and implemented strategic redirects, ensuring traffic flowed seamlessly to the main site without losing any hard-earned SEO value that had been built over the years.
