Inside our awards cabinet
Toot toot! That’s the sound of us blowing our own horn. Actually, let’s swap it for a ginormous tuba - because this year has been a very successful one indeed: HONK! We were shortlisted for some incredible awards this year - and won some. TBB even presented a category of Calderdale Council's annual Our Stars awards, celebrating the achievements of council employees and volunteers.
We love a feel-great awards ceremony, getting together to celebrate the hard work, dedication and talent of our team, our clients, and other agencies. So, let’s recap on what made us proud this year…
WIN: Web Development Project of the Year (ANDYSMANCLUB)
Prolific North Champions Awards
We won highly commended in the 'Web Development Project of the Year' category for the ANDYSMANCLUB website at the Prolific North Champions Awards - and couldn’t be prouder.
You may have heard of ANDYSMANCLUB from its viral #ITSOKAYTOTALK campaign - it offers much-needed groups for men in need of mental health support. However, its website was unfit for purpose - frequently crashing and leaving the charity unable to reach its growing, global audience.
We developed a headless website that directs men in need to access support via their nearest clubs as quickly and easily as possible, potentially saving lives. It’s easy to digest, simple to navigate, and provides an all-important sense of community to those who need it most.
As well as winning this award for our web development project, we were also shortlisted for the Tech for Good award for our work on ANDYSMANCLUB.
WIN(S): Best Digital Rebrand (BeFibre and Govox)
Digital Impact Awards
Not one, but two trophies! Setting the benchmark for the best digital communications work across Europe, the Digital Impact Awards by Communicate Magazine sees entries from incredible international campaigns. So we were honoured to take home two awards in the 'Best Digital Rebrand' category, winning:
Silver for BeFibre: To highlight its reliable full-fibre broadband and stand apart from competitors, we strategically created a new playful brand identity for BeFibre - one that was modern, vibrant, and relatable to its customers.
Bronze for Govox: This rebrand needed to emphasise Govox’s proactive role in global mental wellness and engage its audience effectively and sensitively. Through extensive research, we revamped Govox’s website, ensuring easy navigation and meaningful imagery, a new multifaceted logo, and vibrant colour palette.
Shortlisted: Creative For Good (ANDYSMANCLUB)
Another for ANDYSMANCLUB - this time we were shortlisted for the Creative for Good award at the Prolific North Creative Awards. As well as our technical skills, it was also our creative talents that contributed to the headless website we built for ANDYSMANCLUB and made a real-life impact.
It looked great and, more importantly, the new visuals and UX meant men coming to the site could find local support within seconds upon landing, without getting overwhelmed. For this particular mental health charity, that ease of use could save a life - and what could be a better use of our creative agency skills than that?
Shortlisted: Rebrand/ Launch/ Activation (Govox)
It was wonderful to be shortlisted for this at the Prolific North Creative Awards. We were up there with some outstanding rebrands - ours being the brand identity and innovative website we launched to help Govox build trust, provide support, and make connections that could ultimately assist in its mission to save lives.
Shortlisted: Effective Design (BeFibre)
Broadband provider BeFibre’s new energetic, modern-looking brand (created by our design team) was shortlisted at the Prolific North Creative Awards. A few highlights of this design work include simplifying and modernising BeFibre’s existing logo to give a ‘big brand’ feel, introducing a vibrant graphic language with multicoloured lines reminiscent of the world of exciting content and media that customers gain access to using BeFibre, and rolling all of this out to multiple customer touchpoints.
Shortlisted: Copywriting (BeFibre)
As well as our design work for BeFibre, our copywriting team created the personable and playful tone of voice for the broadband provider that lacked the pretence of its competitors. We were over the moon to be shortlisted for a Prolific North Creative Award for the copy we created, which used unique cultural references from movies, music, and games, (wordplay and puns such as ‘Bufferlow soldier’, ‘CODdammit!’, and ‘Can you feeeeeeeel the lag tonight?’) to highlight the world of exciting content and media that customers gain access to using BeFibre.
We're so proud of our team for the hard work that went into these projects and can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store - you bet we have big plans in store. Want to be part of something big(ger)? Join our crew or get in touch.
